Portable Primary Plant

The heavy-duty, quad-axle chassis is equipped with the Cedarapids field-proven model 3054 Jaw Crusher, fed by a new Advantage 52” wide x 20’ long Vibrating Grizzly Feeder. The feeder is powered by a 40 HP Torspec Portable Primary Plant eddy-current drive which gives the operator the ability to vary the feed rate into the jaw crusher. The plant is equipped with four hydraulic leveling jacks for quick set-up at the jobsite. This primary plant is designed to handle feed from the massive bucket of a 988 wheel loader. The nominal 4” minus material falls through the extra deep grizzly section and bypasses the jaw crusher. Larger stones and concrete flow over the sloped grizzly bars and quickly pass through the wide 54” throat of the jaw crusher. Bypass fines are combined with the crusher-run at the loading hopper of the separate side discharge conveyor, which also includes a magnetic separator mounted in-line over the head pulley. While the ferrous metals continue to move in-line with the material flow, the aggregate drops down to the receiving hopper of a 36” x 60’ portable conveyor.

Portable Secondary Plant

The chassis of this closed-circuit plant is equipped with a special quad-axle arrangement. The crusher is a new Cedarapids MVP380 Rollercone, fed by an ElJay 6’ wide x 20’ long 3-Deck Horizontal Screen. The screen incorporates a triple shaft mechanism unmatched by any screen in the industry for versatility and efficiency. Portable Secondary w/MVP380The Rollercone is also unmatched for its forgiving nature and its ability to adjust under load. The top two decks of the screen feed into the Rollercone. The top deck serves as a protection deck while the second deck functions as a sizing deck. The top deck also relieves the second deck for added capacity while increasing efficiency. During operation at the airport, bottom deck overs are combined with bottom deck throughs on the underscreen collecting conveyor.  Finished product passes the 1” SCO wire cloth at rates often exceeding 600 tons per hour. The product is conveyed to a separate 36” wide x 40’ long portable conveyor equipped with a magnetic head pulley. The head pulley extracts the small ferrous wire that is liberated by the attrition grinding action of the MVP Rollercone. This special conveyor discharges onto another 36” wide x 60’ long portable conveyor, which in turn discharges into a telescoping radial stacker.
